Discrimination – a warning

Should any club, resort, society or other group still be in any doubt about the effects of discrimination against any kind of visitor or potential member, read on…earlier this year a sports club (not naturist) refused membership to a same sex couple. The couple took the club to court and were awarded £5 million, the court agreeing that the club had exercised direct discrimination for refusing membership on the basis of sexual orientation, advertised for couples only and refused to recognise a same sex couple.
