Part of the UK’s biggest naturist weekend – starts 22 June
Naturists from all over the UK and overseas will be descending on Cornwall next weekend to participate in two landmark events. British Naturism are organising Nudefest2007 – two days of events and activities at Newperran Holiday Park which will become a naturist resort from midday Friday 22nd to midday Sunday 24th. Red Letter Days will be offering “The Garden of Eden”, a naturist evening at the world-famous Eden Project on Saturday 23rd.
Activities at Nudefest2007 include workshops in massage, bodypainting by Malcolm Mellon, belly dancing, setting up naturist beach user groups, and arts and crafts for the younger guests; our own version of the NEC - the Naturist Exhibition Centre – with attendees including leading UK naturist tour operator Peng Travel, naturist travel guide publishers Lifestyle Press, new naturist B&B Acorns, Mexican handicrafts, group travel specialist Explore South West and a variety of stalls showcasing the work of British Naturism, and our own naturist goods shop; sports and games all weekend and evenings filled with live music from 70s chart-topping band Edison Lighthouse and a midnight disco. The Newperran site itself includes a large swimming pool, pub, café, children’s play areas, and plenty of space for camping and chilling out with friends old and new. Over 300 guests are expected to attend.
The entire Eden Project site will be at the disposal of the naked guests for the first time ever, with the usual Eden Project experience enhanced by live music, local food and drink outlets and various exciting sideshows. Over 500 guests are expected to attend and enjoy this unique experience.
The Press and other Media are invited to a Press Call at 9.30am on Saturday 22 June at Newperran Holiday Park. Unfortunately, access to Nudefest2007 itself will not be permitted, but organisers and some guests will be available for interviews, photographs and conversation about the event and naturism generally. If you would like to attend, you must book your place in advance. Thank you.

Notes for Editors
· British Naturism is the UK’s officially recognised naturist organisation. It exists to support and unite naturists around the UK and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2004, although previous incarnations have been in existence since the 1930s.
· Amongst the aims of BN are to campaign for more naturist places to be made available and to protect naturists against discrimination.
· In the UK, there are over 150 sun clubs, swim clubs and holiday resorts and 12 officially designated naturist beaches, with many more being used regularly by naturists. Membership of BN is around 15,000 people.
· 2007 sees a huge number of other events for naturists at fantastic public venues, such as Alton Towers, Abbey House Gardens in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, and beaches around the UK coastline.
· Naturism is good for you. Naturists report improvements in well-being, stress, chronic illness, self-esteem and body image. It’s also a sensible choice of dress when the weather is warm. Naturists are normal people. The only difference between activities inside and outside of naturism is the dress code. See FAQs about naturism here www.british-naturism.org.uk/pages/pages.asp?page_ID=39
