British Naturism - News

The British Naturism members' online community passes its first anniversary!

30 October 2008

During its first year, the 1,670 registered members have made an astonishing total of 29,269 posts – if that doesn’t indicate a vibrant community, I don’t know what does! If you are still not among them, it’s time to join in… Topics currently under discussion are: . Alton Towers, BN membership cards, the request for a naturist for a TV pilot, Fuerteventura, the INF swimming gala, a job in a naturist place in Greece and much more.

A forum like this allows you to make contact more easily with other members and express your views and learn about what is going on. For anyone not familiar with such things (sometimes called a message board or bulletin board), the online community is an interactive website that allows people to communicate with others by entering into discussions, asking questions (and answering those posed by others), making comments, arranging meetings, and a whole lot more. We are using it for communicating more effectively with our members, making announcements, providing information and late news, and have transferred all the items from the previous members' area to it.

There's a calendar to make it easy to see which events are coming up, downloads of back issues of BN magazine and other important documents, pictures and sound files, and each Special Interest Group has a section of its own – and you don’t have to join now to get involved with conversations there. There are a few blogs, including the interesting stuff we publish as “Nudes in the News”. It has some cool time-saving features, too, such as the ability to track a topic – if you find a discussion that you want to keep an eye on, you can set the forum to send an email to you when new messages are posted. As with all websites, it will evolve and there will always be something new. The more members that use it, the better it will be.

If you haven’t already, please go through the secure registration process as soon as you can, then create your profile, add a picture and some personal information about yourself and get going.

We are now used to dealing with the various log-in problems that have arisen, so please speak to the office if you have trouble. The forum is only available to current members of BN, and whilst you will be able to contact other members privately (and vice-versa), individual email addresses will not be revealed.

There are plenty of naturist sites on the Internet that have a forum, but the message board on the number one UK naturist site is the most popular. Don't miss out - if it's worth talking about, you'll find it here...and if it's not, YOU can start the conversation...

You can register now by logging on to http://members.british-naturism.org.uk/ or clicking the "members login" link at the top of the main page on our website www.british-naturism.org.uk/
