The BN Holiday Advice Service for members has been going for some time now, and we are always looking for new people to join the team, both to help spread the load and to replace advisors who move on. It’s a volunteer post that will take up perhaps a few hours a week. There are currently six holiday advisors, each covering a defined part of the world. The main activity is to provide information to BN members and answer questions ranging from general advice on places to go to the type of electricity supply operating in a particular country. Members are encouraged to feed back what they learn about a place or country after their trip, and so the information is built up to everyone’s benefit. A good knowledge of a particular part of the world would be an advantage, but much information can be passed on to you to get you started. Advisors are expected to provide information for the BN magazine travel features, including potential advertising opportunities, and to keep an eye on websites and overseas naturist magazines (supplied by BN) to keep the information up to date. Most communication with members these days is by email - and the forum needs to be exploited more for collection of information and broadcast - but some postal work (enquirers provide stamps for return postage) is also likely.
